The Creative Presentation Of An Important Portrait
When a client brought us an important early 19th Century miniature portrait of a gentleman and his beloved's gold earrings our design team went to work and created a presentation to meet the clients needs.
The design team and the client wanted the pieces always to be accessible and the framing materials needed to be archival and handsome.
The presentation was designed to both, hang on a wall or sit on a a table for viewing.
Special hardware was created so that the engraved case could be turned within the frame for detailed viewing. The earrings were hand sewn in place on the silk covered surface to keep them positioned but removable. Glazing with Tru-Vue Museum glass, the piece looks like you could reach in and pick up the objects.
This intimacy with the treasures was an important goal in the project.
